Vitamin D can be found naturally from sun exposure and some food like cod liver oil, tuna, sardine, egg and milk. It is a well-known fact that this vitamin is crucial for strong bones and teeth as it helps our body to absorb calcium. In fact, the function of vitamin D is not limited to calcium absorption only.
Research showed that sunlight (a source of vitamin D) may prevent cancers like breast cancer, prostate cancer and renal cancer.

1. When you are having flu or common cold, you need vitamin D too.
2. Vitamin deficiency is common among pregnant ladies. Black
pregnant ladies and black babies have higher percentage than white pregnant ladies and white babies, according to research.
3. Exposure to sun is the safest way to get vitamin D. Our body can synthesize enough vitamin D with 25 minutes sun exposure on face and hands, but 10-15 minutes for those with light skin.
